Hi, I’m Clare Ivatt – Mompreneur, online business owner and blogger.

I started my working life as a computer professional, working 9-5 for corporates in London, but I wanted more from life, and I believe I’ve now found a better way of making a living…

Together with fiancé Quenton, I’ve been working on our own business for over 20 years (that makes me feel old!), running many different websites and blogs. 

We designed our business to be fully online – so we could live anywhere with an Internet connection – and then we escaped the rat race and moved to our dream house (and everlasting renovation project) in the beautiful Scottish Borders.

There are three of us living and working at home – myself, Quenton, and our teenage daughter Emily, along with Oscar the dog, and Einstein the rabbit! We are home-schooling Emily, so I haven’t missed a single moment of her growing up.

As a blogger I want to help you achieve your ideal lifestyle – maybe working at home with the family like I do, or maybe something completely different, like travelling the world and running your business from your laptop.

Why Read My Blog?

I’m passionate about helping others to achieve their dreams and live life on their own terms. I’ve been setting up and running online businesses (not just blogs!) since 1999 – so I’ve got lots of tips and insights to offer.

I’ll show you how to set up and run a blog, and how to run your online business on a day-to-day basis.

But I want my blog to be about much more than just the technical aspects:

I want to inspire you to plan and start your new business, to give you the motivation to follow-through with your plans, and the practical advice on how to organize your personal, business and financial life so you can achieve your dream lifestyle.

I’m not pretending that I’m some sort of guru, or that everything I touch turns to gold.  With over 20 years in online business, I’ve made mistakes in the past, and I still make some today.

I’m always learning, and mistakes are part of the learning process.  I hope I can share my mistakes with you, so that we can learn from them together.
